The
Goddard Police Department provides employment fingerprinting on Tuesday's and
Wednesday's from 8am-3pm only.
Patch Requests:
Patch
collectors desiring to purchase a Goddard Police shoulder patch should send a
$10.00 cashier's check or money order along with a
self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Patch Request, Goddard Police
Department, PO Box 667, Goddard, KS 67052.
Police Chief Sam Houston
Sam
Houston became Goddard's Police Chief in 2007 after 30 years with the Sedgwick
County Sheriff's Office.
Chief Houston started as a Patrol Deputy with Sedgwick County in 1977.
During his 30 years as a Sheriff's Deputy he was promoted through the ranks of
Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and finally Captain before his retirement.
Chief Houston worked in every
division of the Sheriff’s Office holding assignments in narcotics, patrol,
detention and judicial services.
Chief Houston holds a Bachelors of Science
degree from Friends University
in Wichita, KS and is a
graduate of the Mini MPA program at Wichita State University. He
has attended several command and leadership schools including the FBI National
Academy from which he graduated in 2004.
