The City of Goddard Municipal Court meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The Municipal Court deals with all misdemeanor criminal and traffic offenses and infractions along with city ordinance violations. The Municipal Court is served by a Municipal Judge and City Prosecutor.
The mission of the Goddard Municipal Court is to expeditiously and ethically adjudicate traffic, criminal, and ordinance violations in a fair and courteous manner and provide information to assist citizens in resolving issues associated with court proceedings.

Call to Order

First Call (Judge calls the defendants names, making sure they are in attendance)

Second call (Judge reads defendants their charges and advises them of the MAXIMUM/MINIMUM fine or sentence. Defendants at this time enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or no contest. Depending on plea, defendants are sentenced, fined, or assigned a trial date. Warrants are issued for those not appearing for their scheduled court dates)

Recess (Defendants discuss their case with prosecutor, pay fines, assigned court dates if necessary)

Call to order (Judge calls defendants to the bench to complete necessary business)
