The City of Goddard, Kansas is located just west of Wichita along U.S. Hwy 54/400 in Sedgwick County and has a population of just over 3,300. Residents enjoy a tranquil small town environment with a low crime rate. The majority of crime reported is property and financial related (i.e. theft, insufficient fund and forged checks, etc.).

The Goddard Police Department has an authorized staff of ten full-time officers. All of our officers are Kansas certified law enforcement officers and have graduated from either the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center or Wichita/Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center.

Our department is committed to maintaining the quality of life our residents have come to enjoy by providing professional, courteous service. We are here to serve you, our citizens and visitors. To report an emergency please call 911. Our office and non-emergency number is (316) 794-2051. In addition you may report suspicious activity by completing our online form. You can register your business or request an extra watch of your home while you're on vacation by sending the police department an e-mail or coming by the office Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Residents are reminded to register your dogs. Registration is $5 for dogs that are spayed or neutered or $10 if they are not spayed or neutered. A current immunization certificate is required at registration. Owners of dogs running at large without a registration will receive a $50 to $300 fine.
Sam Houston became Goddard's Police Chief in 2007 after 30 years with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
Going on vacation or leaving town for a few days? The Goddard Police Department will conduct extra patrols of your home while your gone.
